オープンソース版Android OSを使った端末には、正規の方法ではGoogleのAndroid Marketを搭載することが出来ません。Googleの条件をのんだメーカのみが、自端末にandroid Marketを搭載し、数十万のアプリケーションを顧客に提供させることが可能になります。

この厳格な契約により、Googleは端末メーカの動きをコントロールしています。たとえば手元にあるSamsungのGalaxy SIIで、メーカのマーケットであるSamsungAppからインストールする際に「提供元が不明なアプリ」を許可しないといけない状況です。端末メーカだから警告なしでインスコ出来るようにすればいいのに。

GoogleはAndroid Marketを押さえることにより、Androidのエコシステムを支配しています。Google外の独自決済を禁止しているのもその一環です。
